No, that’s not my new nickname! Today the Island was back to its normal self. A beautiful day with clear blue skies and our Prunus Pandora smothered with blossom. Amazing how a little bit of sun can make the world a better place to be.

Who needs Hawaii’s Jurassic Park when you can have The Isle of Wight’s Jurassic Coast?! Last week plans were announced, to partner with BBC Earth Films and Twentieth Century Fox to bring ‘Walking with Dinosaurs: The 3D Movie’ to the Isle of Wight this Summer. Oooh Scary!!!

Just spotted a flock of fieldfares sitting in the trees on our drive. Apparently they are on the RSPB’s Red List (globally threatened species with 50% decline in UK breeding populations over the last 25 years.) So feel privileged to see them. They chatter more than I do!
4 Long Tailed Tits spotted on our peanut feeder – when the woodpecker lets them feed! No photo yet as they are rather camera shy.

We are feeding the birds to help them through the cold weather and love our morning visits from the Great Spotted Woodpecker. He is quite wary and seems to keep his eye on us!
