Swallows on the Isle of Wight

swallows rest on the telephone line at The Little Barn on the Isle of WightThe swallows on the Isle of Wight are just a small part of an amazing month for wildlife at The Little Barn and we are seeing the rewards of the work we have put into the land to make it a haven for all sorts of creatures. The latest on the Swallows who were nesting in one of the sheds at The Little Barn, is that the young have fledged. Yesterday we spent over half an hour watching at least 25 swallows flying and playing around the barns. They were like F1 drivers, ducking and diving. This young swallow hasn’t quite learned the trick of facing into the wind like the adults! For more images take a look at The Little Barn gallery by clicking here.
