Kestrel nest box

Our kestrels have surprised us by raising 4 chicks in the kestrel nest box that we put up at The Little Barn. We had thought they had only managed one (as they did last year) but as the feeding became more frantic the fluffy heads increased. The childish side of me loves the way they empty their bowels and manage to hit the mother in the back!!
