We had a new visitor to The Little Barn today. This little fellow was on our front doorstep – a Goldcrest I believe – the UK’s smallest bird. He seemed totally unfazed when we opened the front door. I am a little surprised to see him as they like pine […]
It was a miserably wet day, but after an aniversary meal out, I am now loving The Cow Co. A new venture for Tapnell Farm, they have created a great space to eat, shop, play and stay. (Although I would much rather you stayed with us at The Little Barn!) […]
Today was one of those Sunny Summer Days on the Island where I see so much that fills me with an overwhelming sense of contentment. This was the view as I walked up to the annual Wolverton Manor Garden Fair. Not a cloud in the sky, a recently harvested crop […]
Great article and video by the Telegraph. Our friend Paddy Court of High Adventure Paragliding takes one of their journalists for a flight on the west coast of the Island. Take a look and try it next time you visit the Island. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/destinations/europe/uk/10953493/Paragliding-over-the-Isle-of-Wight-how-to-fly.html

Weekend Walk at the white cliffs – great for recharging the mental batteries and catching up with friends.
Isle of Wight food hits the news again. Today The Guardian published and article about local business Wild Island Dressings. I am particularly fond of their Raspberry Balsamic Dressing. Good to see a local business in the national news. Read more at http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2014/mar/01/wild-island-salad-dressings-behind-the-scenes
Spent a lovely morning walking on the beach at Priory Day and on the Coastal Footpath. Fabulous sunny day after all the storms, with great views.
Richard and I went for a quick walk this morning and came back with 6lbs of blackberries. Hands now stained nicely and crumble settling into the tummy. Looks like I’ll be making jam tomorrow! Yum yum.
