Today was one of those Sunny Summer Days on the Island where I see so much that fills me with an overwhelming sense of contentment. This was the view as I walked up to the annual Wolverton Manor Garden Fair. Not a cloud in the sky, a recently harvested crop with the white cliffs, sea and sailing boats in the distance. Beautiful. I wandered round the fair admiring the plants, crafts and sampling local produce before wandering home again. The I sat in the garden with an ice cream watching the newly fledged swallows enjoying their first flight from my garden shed. Their cheerful chatter always makes me smile. Summers are all about days like these.
